Well, technically all is well between two of Nigeria’s finest pop stars.

In December 2015, they both performed on the stage for the first time at the Remy Martin gig in Lagos which is absolutely commendable.

However, these two pop stars, Davido and Wizkid clearly have the most anticipated albums fans can’t wait to have.

Davido is expected to drop his 2nd studio album while Wizkid is on his 3rd studio album this year.

In 2015 both stars whetted the appetite of their fans worldwide with numerous release dates and teasers before eventually taking the ‘Album Battle‘ to 2016.

Now the stage is set, and we can’t wait to see who’ll have a better album.

Runtown can now perform in Nigeria, United States & any part of the world with all bookings being approved by his record label and going through the right channel.

‘Why my mum prayed and fasted for me’ – Seyi Sodimu

Nigerian singer, Seyi Sodimu famously known for his 90s hit ‘Love Me Jeje‘ is back to the music scene.

He recently released a remix of the song with American singer, K Michelle and revealed to Thenetng that he’s working on an album which will definitely be ready this year.

In a recent chat with Punch, he however revealed a period in his life when his mum prayed and fasted for him to get married.

In his words, ‘I met my wife in Washington. We were both in the university. I was dating an American girl at that time. I saw her and I felt she was the cutest Nigerian I had ever seen. My mum started praying and fasting and wishing I would marry her because she didn’t want me to marry ‘Akata’ (American). If I hadn’t met her, I would have married an American, I am very sure of that. She was the last person I dated and I married her’.

In an interview, Seyi Shay boldy stated that Drake‘s 'One Dance' was actually Wizkid‘s song.


He got wind of the claim on social media and simply tweeted, 'she lied'.

Now what was the best way to remind him what his words on the same girl was like 12years ago? Well, I said nothing but chewed seriously on the lesson which I am only to glad to share.

Wizkid continues international domination with Tinie Tempah collabo

Nigerian pop star, Wizkid continues riding his rising wave of international prominence with yet anther huge collaboration.

This time its on a new joint by UK rapper, Tinie Tempah titled ‘Mamacita’.

The new song is coming barely a month after Wizkid teamed up with Drake and Kyla on ‘One Dance’ a song that got on the number one spot of The Billboard Hot 100.

The video for the song ‘Mamacita’ has already been shot in the Dominican Republic and will be released in the coming weeks.

Wizkid scores another international collaboration with American producer, Swizz Beatz

American producer, Swizz Beatz‘ love for Wizkid‘s music has apparently moved to the studio as the duo have reportedly recorded a few songs together.

In August 2015, Swizzy was seen grooving to Wizkid’s hit song ‘Ojuelegba’ in an Instagram clip.

According to Wizzy, who is working on the release of a Starboy Records‘ album, he has just recorded ‘bangers‘ with the former Ruff Ryders‘ in-house producer.

The recent trouble between Nigerian pop star, Douglas Jack Agu popularly calledRuntown and his label, Eric Manny owned by Okwudili Umenyiora, has been settled out of court and a new agreement has been reached.

Sources confirm to Thenetng that after the court hearing on June 14, 2016 in New York, both parties resolved to settle the case out of court with the help of the Olaniwun Ajayi law firm.

‘Runtown and Dilly agreed to settle out of court and Runtown will remain with the label for one more year but its now more of a partnership deal because it gives Runtown more control,’ a source said.

Another source confirmed to NET that Runtown has also decided to float his own record label which he is calling ‘Power In The Music’ (PITM).

Miss Al Faris pictured sitting on the hood of the car, which has;'This car is for my favourite teacher Nadia' written in Arabic on the windscreen of the white Mercedes, is all smiles.

She went on to disclose that she had wanted to express her gratitude to Miss Nadia after she graduated from her local Nursery this week.

Local media reports that Miss Al Faris' father whose identity has been withheld, is responsible for buying the car which was gifted to Miss Nadia who reportedly helped little Miss Al Faris recover and graduate school after the loss of her mother.

The appreciative widower disclosed to local media that Miss Nadia had played an important role in the development of his daughter and has had a positive impact on Miss Al Faris following her mother's death.
