GREEK CHAMPIONS: EAGLES STAR IDEYE WINS FIRST EUROPEAN LEAGUE TITLE WITH OLYMPIACOS

Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye won his first-ever league title on Sunday following his club Olympiakos’ 43rd title win as a result of their 3-0 thrashing of Veria at home.
The win gave Olympiakos an unassailable lead‎ in the Greek Super League with 47 points from 24 matches with only six games to go to record the earliest possible title win in the history of the league.
Speaking through Twitter afterwards, Ideye said: “So excited to be part of history today (Sunday). Fastest championship in Greek football history. God is Great.”
Brown Ideye, who has played in Switzerland, France, Ukraine and England was left on the bench for the entire duration of the straightforward win though he has been an important player for the Greek champions over the course of the season.
