Taylor Swift pays tribute to victims of Orlando mass shooting 'with a heavy heart'

Taylor Swift has keep a low profile on social media in recent weeks, and has maintained a steady silence but has now sent her sympathies and paid her respects to the victims of the mass shooting in Orlando last weekend.

The Grammy award-winning star spoke out as news emerged that the first of the victims were being buried by their loved ones on Friday.

"As you bury your loved ones this week, please know that there are millions of us sending you love and our deepest sympathy in the face of this unthinkable and devastating tragedy," Taylor captioned a poster which named all the victims of the horrific attack at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.

Taylor has not spoken about the victims, who were slain as they partied at the gay nightclub by Omar Mateen.

She now joins a whole host of celebrities who have joined the world to pay tribute to those who lost their lives and support the LGBT community at this time.

Earlier this week, Kelly Osbourne had the word 'solidarity' tattooed on her head in memory of the victims of the Orlando shooting.

The 31-year-old TV presenter was so devastated by the mass shooting in which 49 people were killed and 50 injured by a gunman at gay nightclub on Saturday, that she decided to get a tattoo on the side of her skull to show support.

She posted a picture of the inking on Instagram and wrote: "Solidarity: 'Noun. Unity of feeling of individuals with a common interest or purpose.' Individually, we have rights and unique gifts. Together, we have strength and powerful harmony. I have wanted to get this tattoo for a long time.
