The 17th edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held May 7, 2016 at the International Conference Centre in Accra. As in all the ceremonies of this kind, the organizers arranged for artists to check the microphones before the show in order to adjust the sound. It is during this step that the Nigerian artist Wizkid would have lost patience.
A delay of almost 2 hours
According Nydjlive , Wizkid arrived on time on site but the organizers for their almost two hours late. The artist has tried to keep his cool and calmly waited to make the first settings.
The star begins the first sound settings. That's when the director of the technical team tells him to hurry because there is not enough time. Exasperated, Wizkid grabs the microphone and throws him violently to the ground. Also according Nydjlive, Wizkid asked the director if he is responsible for the delay he suffered.
